Bruce Kypta

Chief Executive Officer

Bruce has over 25 years of experience in construction and project management. He has executed and overseen projects in different fields: oil refineries, steel mills, chemical facilities, paper mills, power generation and grain facilities to name a few. These projects have ranged from $5,000 to $1.4 billion. He has been the owner of multiple successful companies and believes in leading by serving our customers/clients, employees, and construction partners. His focus is safety, quality, cost, and schedule. These are the core principles are shared by all of our staff. He makes sure everyone around him has the tools to be successful and are accountable during the process. His leadership is what sets APX apart from the rest.

Steve Cordell

Chief Operating Officer

Steve Cordell is a seasoned project controls professional with over 20 years of experience supporting and delivering high-impact projects across the oil and gas, chemical, government, technology, power generation, and renewable energy sectors. Beginning his career in 2005 on a turnaround, Steve has progressed through hands-on experience, education, and leadership roles to develop deep expertise in project controls, project management, and business operations. He is known for building strong teams, mentoring talent, and leveraging collaboration to drive client success. Steve believes in leading with integrity, treating others with respect, and fostering an environment where collective growth and shared success are paramount.

Geri Chapman

Chief Administrative Officer

Geri Chapman is a seasoned project management and human resources professional with over 35 years of experience in the oil and gas industry. Over the past 21 years, she has played a key role in project management and human resources leadership, bringing deep expertise in human resources operations, contract administration, benefits administration, and payroll. Geri is recognized for her operational knowledge, attention to detail, and ability to support both project teams and organizational success.

Dwayne Pennington

Sr VP Operations

Dwayne Pennington is a senior-level PMO executive with over four decades of experience delivering major projects, mega-projects, and complex turnarounds across multiple industries. He has consistently achieved industry-defining performance in safety, quality, cost, and schedule execution. A proven leader within the highly competitive refining, petrochemical, energy, and chemical sectors, Dwayne has served in senior management roles on award-winning projects that have challenged the status quo in design innovation, delivery methods, and cost efficiency. He firmly believes that successful projects are built on strong synergy and clear communication between clients and contractors, working together toward a shared objective.

Aaron Cordell

VP Professional Services

Aaron Cordell is a project controls professional with 15 years of industry experience supporting projects from feasibility through startup. He has helped develop and implement project controls procedures and training programs for both clients and internal teams. Aaron is known for his collaborative approach, passion for the work, and commitment to supporting team alignment and successful project execution at APX. Aaron has a large focus on supporting project remotely to reduce cost to the customer and ensure that our experts are capable of supporting multiple projects.

Justin Ratts

Director Supply Chain Management

Justin Ratts is a supply chain and strategic sourcing leader with nearly two decades of experience across the oil and gas, mining, power generation, and industrial sectors. He brings deep expertise in delivering solutions that improve efficiency, mitigate risk, and create measurable value for clients. Throughout his career, Justin has led initiatives that optimize cost, protect schedule and quality, and strengthen overall project outcomes. At APX, he is committed to fostering collaboration, accountability, and results-driven execution that supports both team success and client objectives. His leadership philosophy centers on service, transparency, and results, principles that define APX and set it apart in the industry.

Ryan Hansen

Business Development Manager

Ryan leads business development efforts at APX with a systematic, data-driven approach focused on delivering measurable client outcomes. He works closely with channel and discipline leaders across project management, project controls, scheduling, cost controls, and supply chain to align opportunities with disciplined execution. With more than 15 years of experience as a small business owner, Ryan brings an operator/owner's mindset to growth strategy, risk evaluation, and performance accountability. He is committed to building partnerships that support reliable project delivery and consistent results.

Michelle Thompson

Michelle Thompson is a results-driven project and project controls manager with more than 19 years of experience supporting and delivering key organizational objectives. She brings a proven track record of improving efficiency through strategic planning, performance monitoring, and process optimization. With a large focus on cost Michelle has provided oversight on major capital projects and turnaround events, and is recognized for her disciplined approach, operational insight, and commitment to consistent, high-quality project execution.

RJ Pluhar

Strategic Support Manager

As Strategic Support Director at APX Project Management, I help keep teams aligned, processes running smoothly, and projects moving forward with clarity and purpose. I joined APX in early 2025, bringing over nine years of experience in sales and leadership across multiple industries. While I'm newer to the project management space, my background in communication, problem-solving, and team leadership allows me to add immediate value by supporting execution, improving efficiency, and helping clients achieve consistent results.

Mark Fagg

Mark Fagg is an experienced industrial project professional with over 30 years of experience supporting projects across multiple states and sectors. He has played a key role in large refinery turnarounds and complex industrial operations, working with specialized technical teams including instrumentation, electrical, and control systems professionals. Mark also brings extensive experience in placing highly skilled engineers and technical personnel to support project needs. He is known for his high standards, commitment to performance, and dedication to ensuring successful project execution across a wide range of industries.
